Zoning Administrator Stephanie Williams approved a design‑review application for a two‑story addition at 1470 Hollowdale Court at the April 15, 2026 Los Altos City Zoning Administrator meeting.
Sean Gallego, senior planner with the planning division, presented the project and told the administrator the proposal would add 236 square feet to the first story and 796 square feet to the second story, retain all 10 protected trees on the site, and include additional landscaping and screening to support neighborhood compatibility. “Staff recommends approval of the design review application subject to the findings and conditions of approval,” Gallego said.
Gallego said staff found the project consistent with the single‑family residential design guidelines and the municipal code and that the work is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under section 15301 (existing facilities). No public comments were received during the hearing.
Williams moved to approve the application subject to the findings and conditions recommended in the staff report. The decision completes the project’s review at the zoning administrator level; any building permits, plan checks or ministerial reviews required for construction will follow established permit procedures.
