Auditor Alicia told the board that the claims packet includes a $1,323,689.99 debt-service payment for the Justice Center, which she described as the first interest payment for 2026. When Commissioner Putnam asked whether the payment included principal, Alicia said the initial payments were interest-only and that the Justice Center debt schedule extends about 50 years; she offered to provide the full debt schedule if the board wanted it.
After brief discussion, commissioners moved, seconded and approved the claims motion by roll call. The board later moved and approved the memorandum of personnel actions; commissioners recorded their votes and "motion carries" was announced in both cases.
