Clarenceville board ratifies educator agreements, approves budget revision and several contracts

The Clarenceville Board of Education on April 9, 2026, ratified Letters of Agreement with district bargaining units and approved a series of budgetary and procurement items during its regular meeting at Grandview Elementary.
The board moved, in motion 61/25‑26, to ratify the Letter of Agreement between the Clarenceville School District and the Clarenceville Education Association, Clarenceville Paraprofessional Association, Clarenceville Secretarial Association and the Clarenceville Support Personnel Association. The motion passed with recorded yea votes by D. Myers, C. Immonen, A. Watt and G. Telin; Treasurer P. Marietti and Trustee D. Morgan did not vote because of conflicts of interest, as noted in the minutes.
Following that ratification, the board approved a one‑time supplemental payment for 12 district employees who had been excluded from the March 19, 2026 agreement. Per motion 62/25‑26, the payment will be calculated using the same formula established in the Letter of Agreement and funded through the District’s general fund, Mr. Bergeron reported.
The board approved the 2025–2026 General Fund Budget Revision 1 by motion 63/25‑26. Mr. Bergeron presented the revision and took questions from trustees before the unanimous recorded approval of those present.
For technology and security, the board approved the purchase of firewall hardware, software licensing and support services from Delta Networking Services for a total of $67,533, to be charged to the General Fund over a five‑year period (motion 64/25‑26). Mr. Bergeron described the procurement as a licensing and infrastructure purchase necessary to support district systems.
Facilities contracting decisions included the board’s approval to hire Wild Brothers Outdoor Services for lawn services and maintenance at a cost of $31,500 (motion 65/25‑26). Mr. Murphy presented the recommendation after Shourd Landscaping retired and the district solicited new bids.
The board also approved a second one‑year renewal of the Food Service Management Contract with Southwest Food Excellence (SFE) and authorized the superintendent or designee to execute the necessary documents (motion 66/25‑26), Mr. Bergeron said.
The meeting record shows routine updates on Schools of Choice enrollment and the Oakland Schools ISD proposed FY 2026–2027 budget, which board members received for review; no final district action on those items was recorded at this meeting. The board adjourned at 7:54 p.m. following motion 67/25‑26.
