Assistant Highway Superintendent Dennis Olheiser presented annual bid recommendations and equipment requests during the April 15 meeting. Commissioners approved the annual bid recommendations and Roughrider Electric Utility Permit #1777 (26).
Approved purchases recorded in the minutes include a 2022 International LT625 6x4 for $55,000, a 2018 belly dump for $42,900, a 2011 XL Specialized lowboy trailer for $25,000, a new packer for $25,000, and mulchers originally proposed as two blades at $45,000 each. Commissioner Gene Wolf moved to amend the mulcher motion from two mulchers to one mulcher; the amendment passed and the motion to purchase one mulcher carried. The minutes show all these motions carried with unanimous votes.
Moore Engineers’ Tom Weigel presented the Bid Notice of Award for Cabin Site #2 Special Assessment District SI 2026-4002; the commission approved awarding the contract to Bechtold Paving, Inc., the lowest of five bidders.
Motions to approve purchases and the bid award were recorded with named movers and seconders and unanimous votes. The minutes do not provide contract amounts for the Cabin Site #2 award in this record beyond noting the low bidder status.
