Kasson EDA launches Technical Assistance Program to help entrepreneurs

The EDA will accept applications online immediately; if approved, the program covers up to 75% of a project’s cost up to a $1,000 cap (the lesser of those limits), and staff said remaining REV program funds must be used by the end of the year. The EDA will publish a recommended list of potential providers but said consultants outside city limits may also be eligible where needed.
Council members asked about eligibility for home‑based businesses and spending location; staff said applicants must own or lease a commercial space in Cassin, operate a home‑based business in Cassin, or be a local resident planning to locate in Cassin. The EDA will post an applicant list and application form on the city website and proceed to review applications at EDA meetings.
