Council Member Paula Ryan moved to authorize filing the five lawsuits; the motion was seconded and passed on a recorded roll call with unanimous affirmative votes from council members present. The clerk recorded yes votes from Council Member Weir, Council Member Sarlingo, Vice President Paula Ryan, Council Member Rubano (as recorded), Council Member Tuohy, Council Member Bader and President Schwab.
The lawsuit authorization follows the council’s statement that earlier administrative tools had not secured compliance and signals the city’s intent to pursue judicial remedies in superior court. The city did not enter details of the legal filings in public session beyond the addresses and property owners named by the attorney.
