Adair County hires new deputy office employee and approves longevity raises for road crew

The motion to hire was moved by Wedemeyer and seconded by Christoffersen and was approved by the board.
The board also approved longevity raises of $0.25 per hour for road employees Luke Meisenheimer and Bobby Jeanes upon completion of five years of service (motion by Baier, second by Hoadley). The raises will take effect when each employee reaches the five-year anniversary noted by the county engineer.
Both actions were recorded as approved; no dollar totals for the hires were published at the meeting and the transcript notes coordination with the HR attorney on compensation and vacation scheduling.
