"We have received grama funding for a joint California Air Resources Board and California Energy Commission grama that is working its way through the process right now that will be fully funded and enable that project to expand," Cora said, asking staff to add the project to the draft CIP. When asked for an amount, Cora said, "We are looking at around 3,500,000 for the county. That's subject to change as we work through the process with the states." The commenter characterized the figure as subject to change while the state process continues.
Chair Lopez thanked Cora and asked staff to update the draft CIP to reflect the grant. Staff said they will ensure the project is included and will update the committee on the grant status as the county finalizes the paperwork and integrates the funding into the CIP.
What happens next: staff will confirm the grant amount and update the CIP packet; the commenter and staff will coordinate to ensure the project is reflected in the supplemental materials before the budget integration steps in June.
