Sayreville Zoning Board of Adjustment names 2026 chair, vice chair and professional appointments

The Sayreville Zoning Board of Adjustment completed its annual reorganization during the Jan. 28, 2026 meeting, electing Ron Green as chair and Tom Kajjinski as vice chair and approving several professional appointments for the year.
The appointments carried by roll call. Board members moved and seconded nominations for the positions and each slate was approved. "Thank you for everyone's vote," Ron Green said after the chair vote.
In addition to the officer appointments, the board approved Al Fischer as zoning board attorney, J. Cornell as borough engineer, Michael Fowler as zoning board planner and Joan Kimble as recording secretary for 2026. Each nomination was moved, seconded and passed by roll call during the reorganization portion of the meeting.
Board members did not debate the individual qualifications at length during the session; the votes were taken consecutively during the reorganization agenda and recorded by roll call. The board then closed the reorganization and proceeded to regular business, starting with an application hearing for 80 Buchanan Avenue.
The appointments will remain on the record when the board memorializes actions next month, and the zoning office will follow up on administrative steps such as contract or engagement letters for the professional services.
