Moriarty-Edgewood board approves routine agenda items, minutes, policy exhibit and Open Meetings resolution

Superintendent Viano recommended adoption of the meeting agenda; after a motion and second the board approved it by voice vote. The board also approved minutes from July 15, 2024 with two corrections (a wording change on page one and inserting a missing word on page two). The consent agenda for business finance items one through four was approved without discussion.
Separately, the board adopted the Open Meetings Act resolution required annually and discussed a typographical confusion over meeting start time (agenda listed 5:00 p.m.; board confirmed regular meetings are at 6:00 p.m.). On policy, the board approved Policy Advisory 244 BH (public participation at board meetings) and its exhibit; the exhibit was revised to add language that individuals may not transfer or donate their allotted public‑comment time to another speaker.
