Fremont County commissioners approve routine bills, liquor-license renewals, subdivision replat and personnel posting

Fremont County commissioners approved a series of routine motions and administrative items during their meeting.

After confirming a quorum, the board approved the meeting agenda and prior minutes, then voted to pay routine bills. The commission authorized a Title 25 payment of $2,600 to Fremont Counseling Service for Title 25 patients.

During a scheduled 9:30 public hearing, the board approved liquor-license renewals that had been circulated the prior week. County staff and a law-enforcement representative explained an optional WASCOP-funded compliance-check program used by some agencies; commissioners asked the sheriff’s office to provide calls-for-service data for licensed establishments and signaled they would refine renewal procedures in the future.

Steve Bowman, County Planning, presented the Valley Automotive subdivision replat (slot 1A and 2 replat). Planning staff said the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval and reported no letters or public comments; the board approved the replat by motion.

The board also authorized the Pioneer Museum board to hold a public hearing to increase self-generated revenue after staff reported two grants supporting the America 250 River Heritage Quest project, including a $10,000 state grant. Separately, the commission approved advertising to rehire a roads maintenance position (level 133) and accepted a posted salary range.
