Hope Mills swears in three officers and promotes four to supervisory ranks

Council members also approved promotions aimed at expanding supervisory coverage: Sergeant Robert Fields and Sergeant Nathan Vaughn were promoted to sergeant ranks, and Lieutenants Yuri Vanderev, Elizabeth Walker and Enrique Medina were promoted to watch-commander roles to help ensure a sworn supervisor is present 24/7. The chief described the personnel moves as necessary to provide consistent leadership and to staff the new watch-commander structure.
The board acknowledged community appreciation for first responders and presented certificates of promotion. No disciplinary or contested personnel actions were discussed in the public meeting.
