Los Angeles County will host a free household hazardous- and electronic-waste collection on Feb. 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Brookside Park parking lot 1, the Rose City Report said.
Residents may bring up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip. Waste should be in a sturdy box or the original container and must be secured in a trunk or pickup bed with no other items. Unacceptable items listed in the announcement included explosives, ammunition, radioactive materials, controlled substances, trash, tires and large appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines.
