At its regular meeting the Morris School District board approved a series of consent and committee motions by roll call covering policy items, educational matters, personnel items and business matters.
The policy motions (listed on the agenda as motions 1–3) and several mandated policy reviews were approved for first read, including a revised paragraph for policy 0167 on public participation to align board practice with policy. The curriculum committee’s approvals — field trips (including AP environmental science and a fourth-grade visit to the Morris Museum), new AP and computer-science curriculum writing, and a math-enrichment program for seventh graders — were also recorded as approved.
Board members recorded their votes in several roll calls. Participants listed in the roll calls included Mr. Lloyd, Miss Murphy, Dr. Rodriguez, Mrs. Spoto, Mrs. Wall, Mrs. Davidson and Mrs. Cole. A small number of abstentions were recorded on specific items; otherwise motions were approved. The board then approved a motion to adjourn.
