Trustees also nominated a secretary and approved the motion by show of hands; the transcript records the nomination as "La la Jabez" and later references "Chavez," producing an inconsistent record of the secretary’s name in the meeting transcript.
The board recessed into executive closed session under Texas Government Code Chapter 551 at 7:45 a.m. and reconvened at 8:44 a.m. The chair asked whether there were action items following closed session and none were reported; the meeting adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
