The finance committee reviewed reauthorizations for a series of departmental revolving funds, including the Belleview Cemetery ($95,000 expenditure limit), Council on Aging ($150,000), Recreation ($self-supporting limit), Veterans Stadium ($100,000), and the Library ($50,000). CAFO Ramona Sajos Kafo and department directors provided summaries and statutory citations for each fund.
Several councilors asked for more detailed supporting documentation: line-item invoices, vendor check numbers and clearer descriptions of "miscellaneous revenue" and donations. CAFO said she could provide Excel spreadsheets and vendor-level lists for all departments before the full council vote and noted that some departments already provide more detailed financial reporting than others.
The committee approved forwarding each reauthorization to the full council with favorable recommendations, but members emphasized that future full-council approval should rest on better revenue/expenditure transparency for these self-supporting accounts.
