Dodge County increases Indigent/Relief Fund by $20,000, transfers money from Inheritance Tax Fund

At a public hearing on May 13 the Dodge County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an amendment to the 2025–2026 county budget to increase both the appropriation and projected revenue in the Indigent/Relief Fund by $20,000, raising each from $198,200 to $218,200.
Supervisor Bendig told the board the increase responds to continued growth in the number of individuals seeking assistance. The board authorized transferring the $20,000 from the Inheritance Tax Fund and the minutes state the change will not affect the county levy.
