Otoe County hears veterans and social‑service updates, proclaims May Community Action Month

Following those presentations the board approved a proclamation to declare May as Community Action Month. Commissioner Cole moved to approve the proclamation, Commissioner Freshman seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous.
Project Response Program Coordinator Jillian Garcia provided a quarterly update on services and upcoming events associated with that program. The reports were presented for informational purposes; the minutes record no formal action other than the proclamation.
The presentations were scheduled as part of the board’s routine agenda for outreach and program oversight; commissioners made no funding changes during the session.
