The Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners on June 12 approved $5,482,127.78 in Invoice Edit Reports, payroll batches and associated wire, ACH and EFT payments and authorized warrants to be drawn from the treasury. The motion passed by roll call, with commissioners Holzhausen, Johnson, Garber, Howard, Emery, Webster and Chairman Gregory Brodeur voting yes.
Earlier in the meeting Ken Telsma of Anderson, Tackman & Company, PLC presented the county's 2023 audit. Following that presentation, the board approved the L-4029 form to establish the 2024 summer tax millage rates and authorized the chairman and county clerk to execute the document. The action to adopt and place the 2023 audit on file also passed unanimously.
The approved payments list included Invoice Edit Reports dated May 17, May 23, May 24, May 31, June 6 and June 7 and payroll batches dated April 12, April 26, May 10 and May 24. The board did not specify line-item detail in the motion beyond the included report dates; the motion record lists the grand total as $5,482,127.78.
