Miss Williams said the county will place signage at the Dunwoody site directing voters to the Johns Creek location and that targeted text and email alerts were sent to voters for whom the county had contact information. She noted preelection cards have been mailed but may not reach voters in time via USPS, so the county and the city of Sandy Springs will post notices to alert impacted voters.
The motion to change the site was made, seconded and approved by voice vote; the chair recorded the vote as unanimous. Board members and staff emphasized outreach steps to minimize voter confusion ahead of the upcoming election.
The board also received correspondence from a voter praising the new Johns Creek site’s accessibility and friendly staff. Staff said the church was apologetic and remains a potential location for future elections.
