Chippewa Falls council unanimously elects Paul Nadreau as council president, names Normand to Plan Commission

The Common Council of the City of Chippewa Falls convened its organizational meeting on April 21, 2026; Mayor Jason Hiess called the meeting to order at 7:12 p.m. City Clerk Bridget Givens administered the Oath of Office to Rob Kiefer, sworn in as Second District alderperson, and Paul Nadreau, sworn in as Sixth District alderperson; the minutes note Chuck Hull (Fourth District) had been sworn in previously.
A motion by Jody Marr, seconded by Dan Dixon, nominated and approved Sixth District Alderperson Paul Nadreau as Council President. The roll call vote recorded seven ayes — Marr, Dixon, Nadreau, Normand, Monarski, Kiefer and Hull — and the motion carried.
The council then moved to fill its representative slot on the Plan Commission. A motion by Paul Nadreau, seconded by Dan Dixon, nominated Tim Normand as the council’s representative to the Plan Commission; the roll call vote was unanimous and the motion carried.
Council members also established the composition of the council’s Committee on Committees, which the minutes state consists of the Council President and two appointed councilors. Paul Nadreau moved, with Dan Dixon seconding, to appoint Tim Normand to the Committee on Committees; that motion passed unanimously. Tim Normand then moved, with Dan Dixon seconding, to appoint Jody Marr to the Committee on Committees; that motion also passed unanimously.
The minutes record that there were no items for approval of prior minutes, no public hearings or communications, and no ordinances or resolutions on the agenda. With routine business complete, Dan Dixon moved, and Jody Marr seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 7:17 p.m.; all present voted aye.
