The board approved a CMAS contract with Garland Company Inc. (CMAS number recorded in the agenda as 4‑20‑56‑0006B) to supply roofing materials for phase 4 of the district’s roofing program. Trustees then approved award of roofing project phase 4 bids: Best Contracting Services Inc. was awarded bids 1 and 2 and Maven Roofing Company was awarded bid 3.
A trustee asked about the contractors’ years in business and the warranty guarantees. Herrera, speaking for district business services, said bids were selected through a competitive process, the district has worked with the contractors previously, and guarantees and warranties are stipulated within the contract documents. Staff said work is planned for completion during the coming summer.
Motions to approve the CMAS contract and the bid awards were approved by voice vote on the board floor.
