Cloud County board adds delinquent solid-waste fees to 2025 tax rolls after final hearing

The Cloud County Board of Commissioners on May 4 closed the Solid Waste delinquent hearing and voted unanimously to place first-half 2025 delinquent solid-waste fees on the county tax roll. Commissioner Ron Copple moved to close the hearing and add the fees; Commissioner Dannie Kearn seconded the motion and the measure passed with unanimous consent.
Chairman Michael Cleveland opened the regular session at 9:00 a.m. and noted no residents were present to ask questions during the delinquent-hearing portion. County staff said this will be the last standalone delinquent hearing because unpaid solid-waste charges will now be collected via property tax statements.
The board did not record a roll-call vote by name beyond noting the motion was unanimous. The action takes effect as part of the county’s tax administration process; county staff directed that delinquent accounts be placed on the tax roll for collection.
The meeting record shows the motion to add the 2025 delinquent fees was made in open session; the board moved on to other agenda items after approving the tax-roll placement.
