Pullman School District to migrate from Skyward to Cumulative; families warned of deadlines and summer access interruptions

Pullman School District staff briefed the board and public on an upcoming transition from the Skyward management system to the statewide Cumulative platform. Superintendent Bob (speaker 13) said the transition has been planned since before the pandemic and that the Skyward system will be sunsetting. "Skyward Family Access will close for the summer" during the district's rollover, Bob said, noting the June 18 cutoff for families to save or print student information.
He urged families to complete full enrollments by July 8: "If it's not complete ... that record is erased, and you have to start all over again," Bob said, advising families to finish enrollments before the cutoff. He also said the district expects an access pause July 14–26 during the cutover, with Family Access in Cumulative returning August 3. The district is training teacher leads and staff to support the transition and has been doing data cleanup and permissions testing to reduce errors.
Board members asked whether other districts encountered problems; Bob said many districts had already made the switch and shared lessons learned, and staff acknowledged there will be "a couple of bumps in the road" but that the district is taking steps to minimize disruption. The district will publish specific links and a phone number on its website for families needing help.
