The contractor representative said substantial completion is expected in June 2026 but noted that punch‑list and finish work — especially in an area identified as “Area G” (a new vestibule adjacent to the old band hall) — will continue through the summer. District staff and the contractor described an active punch‑list process (contractor, architect and district each maintain punch lists) and said crews will focus on interior finishes, storefront frames, roof drains and paving once students leave for the summer.
Board members asked about temporary certificates of occupancy for athletic areas and a timetable for final, full occupancy. Project staff said a temporary CO for athletics has been called in and that final completion is likely to extend into July because remaining punch‑list items require access while crews finish small, targeted work.
Fulton Elementary closeout activity was also discussed; staff said they will perform punch‑walks after students leave, replace a handful of identified floor tiles and finalize warranty and operations manuals before turning over remaining documentation to the district.
