Swanson) for improper parking at 100 Marina Way (Citation 5073, Code Section 34-31(a)), PK2024-83 (Julio Joel Tavera) for parking in a boat/trailer-designated space at JC Park (Citation 20195, Code Section 34-31(c)), PK2024-98 (Fabulous Logistics) for parking in the city right-of-way (Citation 14654, Code Section 34-31(l)), and PK2024-100 (Dannielynn Pravet) for parking in the city right-of-way (Citation 14657, Code Section 34-31(l)). In each matter the magistrate ordered the $50 fine plus a $10 administrative fee and an $18 late fee (total $78), payable within 14 days or the case will be referred to county court; each defendant was advised of a 30-day right to appeal.
In old business, the city moved to vacate the order determining violation and notice of fines and costs dated Oct. 16 in case PK2024-77 (Carol Edwards, 100 Melody Lane); the magistrate vacated that order based on the city's recommendation.
Before adjourning, the clerk reviewed additional case identifications and explained the city's notice process for hearings: certified-mail notices, affidavit of mailing if cards are unclaimed, and posting at City Hall and at properties when required by state statute. The hearing was then adjourned.
