City asks Community Garden participants to remove items by April 30 as future use remains undecided

The City of Satsuma asked Community Garden members to remove personal items, plants, materials or garden structures they wish to keep by Thursday, April 30, according to council minutes from the April 7 meeting.
Councilmember Shirley Presnall said that after months of discussion the city determined it was in the best interest of all parties to bring the matter to resolution. The minutes state that any items remaining after April 30 will be removed by the city and that plans for the property’s future use have not yet been finalized; the city will provide additional information when a decision is made.
The minutes thank participants for their cooperation and do not record a formal vote or a timetable for deciding the site's future use beyond the April 30 removal deadline.
