The mayor reported the city received a $2,500 grant for the city’s 250-year celebration and that City Clerk Jessica Jones had applied for a $3,900 event grant to support the Tree Lighting. He announced a boating course set for May 18–19 with 21 people registered and reminded officials that the Statement of Economic Interests is due April 30. Barlow said the TAP grant application for 2027 sidewalks is due in a couple of weeks.
On April 7 the council also approved a resolution described in the minutes as "Resolution 2026-04-05 — GOMESA Grant," and separately adopted Resolution 2026-04-02 to create the GOMESA bank account; both resolutions were recorded as adopted unanimously.
