Satsuma council approves Youth Baseball payment and waives fees for local events

Representatives Josh Richardson and Kendal Hadaway asked the council to help cover half of a Turfwell Fields invoice totaling $9,500. On a motion by Councilmember Randy Little, seconded by Councilmember Bert Taylor, the council voted unanimously to pay $4,750 to Turfwell Fields.
Brooke Smith, representing First Baptist Church’s Mom’s Day Out Program, requested a waiver of Splash Pad fees for an event on May 14. Councilmember Randy Little moved to waive the fee; Councilmember Jason Skelton seconded the motion, which passed with all voting “aye.”
Walker Nolen of the National Wild Turkey Federation asked the council to waive fees for Steele Creek Lodge on Aug. 6, 2026. Councilmember Jason Skelton made the motion to waive the fee; Councilmember Randy Little seconded and the council approved the request unanimously.
The approvals were recorded as unanimous in the minutes; minutes show the motions were moved and seconded as noted and carried without recorded dissent. No conditions or follow-up assignments were recorded in the minutes for these approvals.
