Summary
During audience participation at the May 4 council meeting, resident Richard Mickle urged turnout for the May 5 primary and promoted Issue 5, a Strongsville City Schools bond/levy for elementary schools, saying it would cost roughly $120 per $100,000 of home value (about $1 a day).

Richard Mickle, a Strongsville resident, used the council’s public-comment period on May 4 to remind voters that the May 5 primary would be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and to urge support for Issue 5, a school bond/levy for Strongsville City Schools’ elementary-school projects.
Mickle said the proposal is a long-term investment he described as improving safety and addressing changing student needs for the next 30 to 50 years. “It will cost approximately a dollar a day,” he told the council, later specifying roughly $120 of tax for each $100,000 of home value.
Mickle asked residents to vote on May 5 regardless of their view on the measure and listed local polling locations in the city. Council did not respond substantively during the public-comment period; the remarks were entered into the public record.
