The Portland Rent Board at its March 25 meeting took several procedural votes.
The board approved the minutes of its Feb. 25, 2026 meeting, with minor typographical corrections. It then approved findings of fact and decision for 193 York Street, Unit 2, pending clerical corrections; the motion passed by unanimous roll call vote of the five sitting members.
On applications: the board voted to find the application for 210 High Street (six units) incomplete and returned it to the applicant after staff reported no supplemental materials had been provided. The board tabled the rent‑increase application for 90 Rockland Ave at the applicant's request, saying the applicant expects to resolve outstanding issues within weeks.
The board closed the public record for 8 Massachusetts Ave, then voted unanimously to table that application until the NOV is resolved or the board's next regular meeting. For 305 Deering Ave (units 305 and 307), the board found the application complete pending receipt of additional documentation (owner‑performed management evidence and accounting backup) and set April 8 as the internal deadline for those materials so a public hearing can be scheduled in April.
All recorded motions passed by unanimous roll call among the five present board members (Chair Matthew Lacks, Kristen, Laura, Rebecca and Buddy); two seats remained vacant. The meeting adjourned at the end of the agenda.
