The Edwardsburg Village Council approved paint and supplies, not to exceed $1,600, for Edwardsburg High School senior Jackson Grall to paint 75 village hydrants as an Eagle Scout project.
Under routine water business the council also authorized payment of Mitchell Pump & Service LLC for $735 to cover an injector (account 591‑553‑740) and approved sending an employee identified as "Rich" to the Spring Regional Water Seminar in Grand Rapids on April 14 for $165 plus mileage reimbursement not to exceed $150 (account 591‑205‑960). All motions were approved on roll call votes.
Police Chief Doug Westrick reported 127 calls for service and zero traffic crashes in February 2026. Ambulance Administrator Dennis Closson provided the agency activity summary for February, indicating 103 incidents across jurisdictions (Edwardsburg 12; Ontwa 43; Niles City 26; others).
