Juniata County commissioners adopt new fee schedules, ratify fund transfer and approve payments

The Juniata County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved several administrative measures at its May 5 meeting, including two fee-related resolutions, a ratified account transfer resulting from a state deposit error, acceptance of a staff resignation and approval of routine payments.
The board adopted Resolution 2026-3, establishing a fee schedule for release of the county’s complete CAMA (Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal) dataset after a presentation by Michael Hower, Director of Assessment and GIS. Commissioner Mark R. Partner moved to approve the resolution and Commissioner Todd A. Graybill seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The board also approved Resolution 2026-4, a revised fee for processing delinquent real estate tax claim files presented by Tax Claim Director Hillary Kindervater. That motion, moved by Commissioner Todd A. Graybill and seconded by Commissioner Mark R. Partner, was unanimously approved.
Separately, commissioners ratified a transfer of $39,278.36 from the Keystone Opportunity Zone account to the General Fund to correct an erroneous deposit from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The ratification motion was moved by Partner, seconded by Graybill and carried unanimously.
In personnel business the board approved and accepted the resignation of Bailey Haubrick, a caseworker in the Juniata County Children & Youth Office, effective at the close of business on May 8, 2026. The motion to accept the resignation was unanimous.
The board reviewed routine departmental reports from the Treasurer’s Office, the Assessment Office and the Sheriff’s Office and approved tax exonerations for Delaware Township. Commissioners also approved payments on checklist #78354–#78504 totaling $69,842.42; both motions were carried unanimously.
The meeting, which included Commissioners Alice J. Gray (Chairperson), Todd A. Graybill (Vice Chairman) and Mark R. Partner (Secretary), adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
