Council approves Heritage Woods PUD amendments after public hearing

The Paw Paw Village Council on March 23 approved amendments to the Heritage Woods planned unit development after a public hearing and brief public comment.
Developer Greg Watts told the council the revision reduces the number of units in Heritage Woods from 38 to 37. Resident Renae Noeldner voiced concern about the amount of fill dirt delivered to the site, and Trustee David McQueen asked that wetlands be checked before development proceeds. The council opened the hearing at 7:10 p.m. and closed it at 7:24 p.m.
Council members voted to approve the PUD amendments subject to the five conditions listed in Planner Anderson’s March 17 report. The motion passed with all members present voting yes.
The decision allows the developer to proceed under the amended PUD conditions; the council record does not specify the five conditions beyond their appearance in Planner Anderson’s report. The village did not record additional mitigation measures in the minutes regarding fill placement or wetlands review, only the request by Trustee McQueen that wetlands be inspected.
The council will implement the conditions as set out in the planner’s March 17 report and will record any further permits or inspections required by village staff or referenced agencies.
