Coraopolis — Harshman CE Group presented its codes and zoning services to the Borough of Coraopolis Council at the May 6 workshop.
Jarrod D’Amico, identified as Harshman’s director of codes and zoning, told council the firm is “a fullservice Civil Engineering Firm officed out of Washington Pa” and that his department oversees building permits, municipal code enforcement, zoning enforcement and permitting and rental inspections. D’Amico said the firm can tailor on‑site staffing to the borough’s preferences: “we set it up however you like.”
Manager McCutcheon said he circulated a copy of the BIU contract to council and reminded members the borough can terminate that contract with a 30‑day notice. McCutcheon and D’Amico discussed how frequently Harshman staff would need to be on site; D’Amico reiterated that the schedule was negotiable.
Council did not take an immediate vote to change providers. The presentation will be considered as part of the borough’s ongoing code‑enforcement and inspection staffing discussions; council members asked for follow‑up on costs and schedules before any contract decision.
