Ware reported ongoing coordination with Marriott and Mainsail Lodging and Development on the hotel component; Marriott has signaled support while the team finishes final site plans. Ware said the development team intends to submit final site plan modifications in May and noted that city review typically takes about 90–120 days, which would push a planning decision into September under the current schedule.
City planning staff and consultant Kev Freeman offered to meet with the development team before formal submittal to resolve technical review comments and speed the review when the application arrives. Commissioners welcomed the update and asked staff to be prepared to move expeditiously once the PSA is executed.
