Assembly advances and adopts multiple senate bills on consent calendar
Summary
On consent the Assembly advanced and adopted several senate bills affecting economic development, public health, state finance and real property tax law; voice votes or recorded tallies were announced for each item as the A calendar advanced.
During its Feb. 24 session the Assembly took up the remainder of the A calendar by unanimous-consent and recorded votes for multiple senate bills.
The clerk read several items on the consent calendar, including an act to amend the economic development law (Assembly Bill referenced from the Senate) and bills to amend the public health law and general municipal law. Several measures were advanced and the clerk recorded affirmative tallies where provided: for example the clerk announced "Ayes, 141; Noes, 0" on one consent item and "Ayes, 140; Noes, 1" on another, and multiple bills were passed or advanced to their next procedural step.
One senate bill was laid aside after a motion to reconsider and the clerk recorded that disposition. The Assembly took additional resolutions without objection and adopted them by voice vote later in the session.
The floor concluded with scheduling announcements and adjournment to reconvene Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m.
