The Nashville Village Council on April 9, 2026 approved a set of routine agenda items, including payment of $132,699.68 in bills, authorization to purchase new police portable radios, and a motion to permit library renovations.
President Mike Kenyon called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the council voted unanimously to approve the agenda. Sherry Hummel moved and Bonnie White seconded approval of the March 12 minutes; the motion carried with Hummel, White, Page, Argo and Kenyon voting yes. Courtney and Hartwell were recorded as absent.
Bonnie White moved, and Sherry Hummel seconded, to allow payment of the March bills totaling $132,699.68 and to have orders drawn on the treasurer; the roll‑call vote was recorded as Ayes from Page, Hummel, Argo, White and Kenyon. The minutes list the total amount but do not break the bills down by vendor or department.
Krista Vincent asked the council to allow Putnam District Library to use Village Contract funds for historic renovations and provided a quote and a fund balance sheet. White moved and Hummel supported giving the council’s blessing to proceed; the motion passed with all present voting in favor.
The council also approved purchase of new portable radios for the police department from State Systems Radios for $21,993.76. According to the minutes, White made the motion and Hummel supported; the roll‑call vote was Ayes from Argo, White, Hummel, Page and Kenyon.
The Nashville Historical Society requested use of Parady Park for a bake sale during the Antique Festival on May 2, 2026. White moved and Page seconded approval; the motion passed with all present voting yes.
Department reports were received in writing from Pierce and orally from Underhile for the Police Department. The minutes also record a Barry County Commissioners update noting that Charlton Park received a $150,000 grant for a boat ramp and kayak launch with a $150,000 match requirement.
The meeting concluded with brief roundtable remarks and a motion by Hummel, seconded by White, to adjourn at 7:50 p.m.
