The Springfield planning commission on May 7 approved the Lookout Crossing Phase 2 preliminary plat, a continuation of an existing subdivision that will add 111 lots and extend street and infrastructure to support future residential development.
Miss Durham, Community Development Director, said staff completed an initial review and identified missing notes and minor technical corrections; the applicant submitted a revised plat and staff was conducting a second review. "Staff recommends approval of the Lookout Crossing Phase 2 preliminary plat contingent upon all staff comments being adequately addressed," she said.
Commissioners asked whether the new homes will be similar to other Reyes Construction communities, how stub-outs and temporary turnarounds will be handled during continued construction, and whether utilities or other phase-related requirements would apply; staff said the phase is very similar to earlier phases, no building permits have been issued yet for this area and details on stub-outs would be clarified in final engineering.
After motions and seconds, the commission voted 8-0 to approve the Phase 2 preliminary plat.
Staff will continue review of revised plats and confirm the turnaround/stub-out details and any outstanding notes before final plat approval.
