The Macedonia City Council on May 20 adopted Ordinance 32-2026 authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with Ohio Paving and Construction Company Inc. to resurface the City Hall parking lot. Council members were told the project was part of a planned capital program and had gone through the city's bid process.
Director Giladi explained the resurfacing will take place in two stages so half the lot remains available while the other half is worked on, and staff will provide the construction schedule to the public once it is finalized. Council members asked about the expected duration; staff estimated the work would take a few weeks but said no official schedule had been provided yet.
A council member moved to adopt the ordinance and the motion carried after members voted in favor. The council also heard that related road-painting and other surface maintenance are planned for June on several roads throughout the city.
