Supervisors approve county claims and file several manure management plans

At its May 4 meeting the Buchanan County Board of Supervisors approved routine claims and paperwork. The Board approved employee claims filed with the County Auditor totaling $3,033.06 and later approved the larger set of vendor and county claims presented to the Auditor in the amount of $185,338.56; the minute book lists detailed payees and line items that together total $188,508.09 for the meeting period.
Auditor Kris Wilgenbusch informed the Board of a $40 late payment fee tied to an ISAC conference payment and requested the county seek reimbursement from the employee responsible; the Board approved the request. On the same motions the Board placed on file several manure management plans for local operations (RC Cattle; Pork Chop Hill III; Daryl Higgins; Matts Place; Daniel Thoma Site #2).
All consent and claims motions recorded in the minutes were approved unanimously. The minutes include a detailed claims listing by vendor and amount; the Clerk will maintain those records with the Auditor’s office for public inspection.
