The Village of Tequesta Council on May 14 approved Resolution 3,826, which lists appointments and reappointments to multiple advisory boards and pension panels.
Council heard brief introductions from applicants before combining the roster into a single motion. The Environmental Advisory Committee will include reappointments of Michelle Schauer and Jill Wenta and add new members Barbara Gomez and Brooke Bonema, council records show. The Planning & Zoning Board reappointments include Jean McEldowney and Liz Schauer; Sean Anderson, Gianina Ireland and Kimberly Windish were among other applicants considered for open seats. The General Employee Pension Board appointment went to Anna Medio, and the Public Safety Pension Board ministerial acceptance included Peter Allen.
Councilors expressed appreciation to every applicant and noted that incumbents who have served effectively were often favored in close pools of candidates. Members encouraged residents who were not appointed to remain engaged and apply for future vacancies.
The motion to adopt the combined resolution was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
