Bandera County approves resolution to TxDOT on Hwy 46 safety, accepts public-health contract amendment and authorizes IT evaluation

Bandera County Commissioners on April 9 approved a resolution asking the Texas Department of Transportation to address safety deficiencies on State Highway 46, accepted an amendment to a public-health cooperative agreement, and approved an IT-services evaluation contract.
During public forum Nikki Dobson reserved comments for the later resolution item and during the transportation item she shared safety concerns regarding State Highway 46. In response, Commissioner Robert Harris moved to approve a resolution to TxDOT requesting action on identified safety deficiencies affecting Bandera and Kendall counties; Commissioner Troy Konvicka seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
The court also approved Amendment No. 3 to the contract between the Department of State Health Services, Region 8 and Bandera County to provide funding for activities supporting the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) under the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Cooperative Agreement. The amendment is effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. Commissioner Jack U. Moseley moved to accept the amendment and authorize the County Judge to sign; Commissioner Konvicka seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
Finally, the court approved a request for the Progent Services Request Agreement to evaluate a Microsoft Windows Domain Controller replication services error and authorized the County Judge to sign the agreement. Commissioner Robert Harris moved for approval; Commissioner Konvicka seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
The minutes record approvals without detailed technical or funding figures for the DSHS amendment or the IT evaluation; each item was approved unanimously by the commissioners present, with Commissioner Jordan Rutherford absent.
