Danbury City EIC approves regulated activity at Pembroke Road, tables Hallis Bodrum Road violation

The Danbury City Environmental Impact Commission voted July 24 to accept a regulated-activity application for 12151 Pembroke Road, subject to six conditions listed in the staff report, and tabled a violation at Hallis Bodrum Road until the commission’s Aug. 14 meeting.

The commission chair opened the meeting and called roll before commissioners approved the minutes from the July 10 meeting. The chair then noted old business included the Pembroke Road application and invited the applicant’s representative to speak.

Benjamin Dodo, a licensed professional engineer representing the applicant, identified himself "for the record" and said he had nothing to add to the staff report. "I'm here representing the applicant on this project," Dodo said, adding that the property owner, Mr. Killian, was absent because he was ill. "I don't object to anything that's in the staff report," he said and offered to answer questions.

A commissioner moved to accept the regulated-activity application for 12151 Pembroke Road and referenced the six conditions recommended by staff; another commissioner seconded the motion. The commission approved the motion by voice vote.

The chair then announced there were no other administrative approvals or staff actions. The commission voted to table a separate violation related to Hallis Bodrum Road until the August meeting; that motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.

The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn passed. The commission set its next meeting for Aug. 14.
