A board member moved the name change and the motion was seconded; the board approved it by voice vote. Staff noted community conversations and some outreach to Douglas High School alumni informed the name recommendation.
Implementation: Facilities staff will update signage and the district website; staff said the district will present a timeline for installation and formal dedication.
