McDonald County Commission approves $76,465.83 in payments and orders $41,758 transfer to assessment fund

During the session the commission also reviewed surplus county items and equipment and instructed staff to publish bid notices in the local newspaper and on the county website. The commission will accept bids for those items until Dec. 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., the minutes state.
In a recorded motion, Eastern Commissioner Jamey Cope moved to issue a court order directing Treasurer Sheila Fuller to transfer $41,758.00 from County Revenue Funds into the Assessment Fund; Western Commissioner Rick Lett seconded the motion. The motion cited RSMo. 137.720 and passed unanimously. Presiding Commissioner Bryan Hall is listed among those present for the vote.
Commissioners reviewed the remainder of December and pre-scheduled departmental budget meetings to begin at the end of the month and continue into the first part of January. Jessica Cole, county clerk (interim), is listed as noting that a copy of the proposed 2025 budget is tentatively scheduled to be available by Jan. 10, 2025, in the County Clerk's office.
The meeting adjourned and the commission was scheduled to reconvene on Dec. 11, 2024. The minutes indicate the page was signed and approved on Dec. 11, 2024.
