McDonald County commissioners continued reviewing departmental budget requests on Dec. 30 and discussed whether to include a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for county payroll in the 2025 budget. The commission noted that anticipated revenues for 2025 remain uncertain, which complicates decisions on wage increases and other spending priorities.
The body formally signed and approved accounts payable totaling $23,456.85 during the meeting. Commissioners scheduled further budget review for Dec. 31 to allow additional examination of department requests and revenue forecasts. The minutes record that the session adjourned and the minutes were later approved on Jan. 2, 2025 (Book PP pg. 510).
