The McDonald County Commission voted Dec. 31 to direct the county treasurer to transfer $5,000 from General Revenue into the Law Enforcement Fund to cover a deficit balance. The action was taken after commissioners reviewed final cash balances and budget requests for the fund.
Commissioner Jamey Cope moved to issue a court order instructing Treasurer Fuller to make the transfer; Commissioner Rick Lett seconded. Presiding Commissioner Bryan Hall and the two other commissioners voted in favor, and the motion passed.
County Clerk Jessica Cole was listed as Interim County Clerk in the meeting record. The minutes state the transfer is intended to correct the Law Enforcement Fund ending balance; no additional funding sources or longer-term budget changes were detailed in the minutes. The commission adjourned and is scheduled to reconvene Jan. 2, 2025.
