Commissioners approved a professional services contract to retain a forensic pathologist to provide autopsy and related services at an agreed funeral home facility. The court voted unanimously to return $26,374.03 in unspent SB22 prosecutor funds to the Texas Comptroller.
A $7,070.55 invoice from Duro‑Last was tabled for later consideration. The court approved several small line‑item transfers for facilities maintenance and allowed the county auditor authority to increase a line item by $71,051.28 without a formal transfer to cover a potential RAMP grant payment to TxDOT, after the auditor said a new aircraft beacon costing $71,051.28 had been identified for airport safety improvements; commissioners tabled formal approval of the airport project pending receipt of supporting documentation.
Most motions recorded unanimous votes (Yes = 5), with mover and seconder names recorded in the minutes for each action. The court recessed briefly at 11:40 a.m. and reconvened at 11:52 a.m. before completing business and adjourning at 1:03 p.m.
