Ramirez presented the scheduling constraint and the court recorded the motion to set the hearing; the motion was made by Commissioner Aaron Trevino and seconded by Commissioner Nora Salinas and carried by unanimous roll-call vote. The court explicitly referenced the Texas Health and Safety Code in directing that notice be provided in accordance with statutory requirements.
The scheduled public hearing will give residents an opportunity to comment on the petition; the court’s direction requires staff to publish and serve notice consistent with state law prior to the hearing.
